Let’s look at the East peak. It is also named the sunrise peak because it is the best place to enjoy the sunrise on Mt. Hua. It is 2092.6 meters high. The second steepest place ,the sparrow hawk’s cliff is located on this peak. This is the only road to the chess pavilion .It is in this pavilion that emperor Taizu in the Song dynasty played chess with a famous Taoist named ChenTuan. They made Mt. Hua as a bet .At last emperor TaiZu failed and gave Mt. Hua as a place to develop Taoism.
